Recipe Ingredients:
Chicken Barbecue (page 55)
- 3 lb (1.3 kg) boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup (60ml) lemon or calamansi juice
- ½ cup (80ml) sweet chili sauce
- ½ cup (120ml) ketchup
- 1 cup (240 ml) lemon lime soda
Basting Sauce (for Chicken Barbecue)
- ½ cup (120 ml) soy sauce
- ¼ cup (46 g ) brown sugar
- ½ cup (120 ml) ketchup
- 18 (10-inch [25-cm]) bamboo skewers, soaked in water for at least 1 hour before using
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Achara, for serving
Sinangag (Garlic Rice)
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, chopped
- 4 cups (632 g) cooked cold rice
- Salt, to taste,
- Fried egg, for serving
